The Pirate Nesting Doll has five less than reputable gentlemen (down right scalawags) looking for their next ship to commandeer. These men look like they are in a good mood, judging by their smiling faces. Each one has a few tools of their trade; guns, swords, Jolly Roger flag, eye-patch, gold, and of course rum. A perfect gift for the wee ones and pirate collector alike.
The doll is entirely hand painted at the Golden Cockerel workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia. The artists painstakingly hand paint every detail, beginning with backgrounds and moving to the finer elements that require a brush of very select Siberian squirrel hair. Then the dolls have multiple layers of non-toxic water-based lacquer applied. The bottom of the largest doll gets stamped with Golden Cockerel's "Made in Russia" mark of quality, initialed by the artist, and dated like a true collectible.
